and breath....

Today has just been one of those days... I am writing this from my desk, it's not 3:30 pm and I have yet to take a lunch break or anything firmly resembling a break since I walked into the office at 9:30 this morning.  I suppose after days and days of boredom due to so many clients being closed down because of snow, I should be happy, but really I feel like I don't have a chance to breath!  My nerves are shot and every time I hear someone say my name, I cringe!  What are they going to ask of me next?  I can't take anymore at this point.  So I'm forcing myself to take a break, to write this so I can get it off my chest, and also to head to my favorite happy place, (besides buzzfeed) pinterest.

Here is what I'm thinking I'll be enjoying tonight:

A relaxation yoga session.

A spa treatment bath.

And a Cookie Dough Vodka hot chocolate. (Omg this flavor by Pinnacle is my favorite!)

I'm already looking forward to it!  I need a longer break, but the phone is ringer and my coworkers are looking over my shoulder.  (I'll be dreaming of you my sweet vodka treat.)

What do you do to unwind after a stressful day?
Have any special tricks?

  1. Oh wow, that sounds very relaxing! Have you tried one of those baths before? I've done everything but the baking soda. And, I have to find the cookie dough vodka! Mmm! To relax I use essential oils and read or do something semi-crafty. Oh, I'm here from the comment promise hop!

    1. Hey Julie! I had never tried a "spa" bath before but it was so worth it. My only wish is that I had a deeper tub to really be able to soak in. Thanks for stopping by from the hop!

  2. Those all look like great ways to relax after a too-busy day. Sometimes I throw in a good book read on the couch under a pile of blankets. :)

  6. For me, a relaxing night is a glass of wine, a quiet dinner with my husband and snuggling under a blanket to watch tv or canoodle. Bliss! Saying hello from the Comment Promise Blog Hop. Cheers!

  8. OK, that hot chocolate sounds amazeballs. I usually add whiskey to mine! Also, I flipped through your archives earlier today - I am so impressed with your honesty and clarity of expression. I'm glad you are cohosting the hop with me, so that I was able to find your blog! I have it marked to do some more reading this week - I hope things are working out for you these days, despite some stress yesterday :)
