I am definitely guilty of this and it's something that needs to stop! I keep comparing my life to what I see around me but I'm only seeing what people want to show me.
Take these words to heart my friends! I believe we'd all be much happier if nipped this bad habit in the bud!
Thank you for posting this. I needed to see something like this today :)

Glad it helped!
DeleteI always feel like I post the highlights and live the outtakes, but simply because we want to remember the memorable parts (and skip the chores and commutes to work).
ReplyDeleteSocial media has 'ruined' our generation to the idea of perfection, hopefully next will be more discerning in these things :)
I only post the good stuff too! But it does make it hard to see all this great stuff and start thinking my life isn't adding up to what everyone else's is.
DeleteYou're absolutely right about social media! It makes it almost impossible to keep our standards in check.
I totaly agree with you!
ReplyDeleteSo true!
ReplyDeleteSuch a good quote. Too often forgotten!

Definitely. I'm constantly reminding myself to not compare.
ReplyDeleteLive and let live I say. Life our lives the best we can and enjoy what we have. No sense in comparing it to someome elses. After all, many times we don't really know what is going on in their personal lives, and it might not be all what we see on the outside.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice. I am definitely guilty of this.
ReplyDeleteI love being reminded about this! It never gets old!

I think everyone struggles with this at some point! Always a good reminder.
